1. Understanding Protected Health Information (PHI)
AharOS is committed to protecting the privacy of your health information. We are required by the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA) to maintain the privacy of your Protected Health Information (PHI) and to provide you with notice of our legal duties and privacy practices.
2. How We Use and Disclose Your PHI
Your designated Coach uses your PHI to provide nutritional coaching, plan meals, and monitor your health progress. Your data is not sold or shared with any unapproved third parties.
3. AI and Third-Party Sub-processors
Statistical and de-identified data (such as adherence percentages and weight changes stripped of names and identifiers) may be processed securely to generate clinical insights. No PHI is sent to third-party language models.
4. Your Rights
- Right to Inspect: You have the right to inspect and copy your PHI.
- Right to Amend: You have the right to request amendments to your health records if you believe they are incorrect.
- Right to Delete ("Right to be Forgotten"): You may request the permanent deletion of your account and all associated health data by contacting your coach.
- Accounting of Disclosures: You have the right to request an accounting of disclosures of your PHI.
